RECEPTIONIST (1 position open)

• Full-time, weekday evenings and weekends. Weekdays morning, afternoon, and evening, 15-25 hours per week (exact weekly commitment is based on customer demand). Expected schedule: 10AM-4PM Mon-Thurs; 4PM-10:30PM Friday . 
• Begins at minimum wage. 
• Duties
  • Greet guests in the lobby and answer phone calls.
  • Respond to questions from clients.
  • Register clients for services and manage financial transactions.
  • Organize documents and oversee scheduling for gymnasium use. 
  • Assist management and coaches with liaising information to customers. 
  • Promote services and products to clients over the phone and in-store.
  • Ensure facility cleanliness by performing basic cleaning throughout the facility (e.g., sweeping and mopping floors, and wiping surfaces, including washrooms and kitchen areas).
  • Communicate messages on behalf of management to clients. 
  • Enforce gymnasium safety policies - must be comfortable confronting customers. 
• Mandatory qualifications
  • Badminton knowledge (minimal)
  • Experience handling money and financial transactions.
  • Able to speak, write, and understand English.
  • Able to understand and speak Cantonese and/or Mandarin. 
  • Comfortable working with a diverse set of clients, including with children. 
  • Able to use basic computer technology.
  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Comfortable with working weekday evenings and weekends.
  • No criminal record. A criminal record check will be requested prior to hiring as our clients are primarily minors.
